Dear Parents of Band and Vision Seniors,
We are looking forward to Band and Vision Senior Night, which is before the football game on Friday, October 1. This announcement has important information for the night, please read thoroughly:
Most Important Information:
Last names A to K arrive at 4:30 pm.
Last names L to Q arrive at 4:45 pm
Last names R to Z Arrive at 5:00 pm
- You need a ticket to the football game if you plan to stay. General admission tickets go on sale Monday, Sept. 27 @ 8am here. Tickets tend to sell out, so we recommend purchasing them as soon as possible on Monday.
- Senior students need to take their letter jacket to the band hall next week (by Thursday, Sept. 30). Please help us by reminding them to bring them. There will be racks in the band hall for them to hang them on. Students without a jacket will be provided one for pictures.
- Parent attire: Most parents dress “up” a little bit, but be comfortable, especially if you are staying for the game. Tip: avoid high heels as the heels sink into the field, making it hard to walk.
- Students will be escorted by the 2 parents named on the form. Other family members should enter the stadium (they need a ticket) and go to the stands.
- Food WILL NOT be served; we will only have water. Senior students will be fed, as usual, but no food is available for parents.
Schedule for the Evening
Upon arrival, check in at the school courtyard (between buildings) to receive your number, which indicates your place in line for the senior presentation.
After check-in, please head toward the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to meet your senior and get a picture taken by our professional photographer, inside the PAC. (There is no charge for the picture. They will be posted on SmugMug and you will have the option of purchasing prints from the photographer.) Please get in line for pictures as soon as your student finds you. We are on a tight schedule, and pictures are the bottleneck. Your student will then go back to the band hall to collect their instrument; they will meet you at the stadium.
- 5:50 PM – We will start lining up in the courtyard, to walk to the stadium, in the order based on the number you received at check-in. We will have volunteers with a place to put your jackets/purses (clear bag policy applies for football game). Volunteers will stay with your belongings until the end of the presentation. We will meet your students on the field. Please stay in line according to your number. Moms will be on the student’s left side; dads will be on the student’s right side.
- 6:35 PM – Senior presentation: When your student’s name is announced you’ll walk the length of the field with your student, towards the end zone where the flag poles and field house building are located. At the end of the field, you will be handed a keepsake for your student. Parents pickup belongings from the cart next to the letter jackets and walk into the stands or out of the stadium. No parents are allowed on the field after the senior announcement. Senior students will stay at the end of the field for senior group pictures.
The Band and Vision performance will be at halftime of the football game.
Let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to a great night!
