CONGRATS on your wonderful performances yesterday at the Bands of America Austin Regional Championships!
The students showed quite a bit of resilience in the evening’s performance by delivering a great show (even better than prelims) after such a long day! Congrats to all students, parents and staff involved in yesterday’s event. To top off an already successful day, it was certainly exciting to see the students be awarded BOA Austin Regional Champions, Outstanding Music and Outstanding General Effect in the Finals Competition.
As I told the students last night, they have endured quite a bit of hardship in the past 18 months (as we all have). To see them push through the last eight weeks and be able to put on the performances we saw last night was inspirational. The band staff sent the morning in critiques/clinics with yesterday’s judges and received great feedback on the students outstanding performance as well as things to work on moving forward.
The Announcement Sheet for the week is attached and includes itineraries for all upcoming events. Congratulations students and I can’t wait for you to have the opportunity to showcase your talents again tomorrow evening!! It will be a great opportunity to perform for all of the students in the CRMS and FPMS Bands!
