Good Afternoon, Viper Band and Vision Families!
It was a busy week! Thank you so much to our students for their fantastic work in rehearsals. Many of our band and Vision members performed on Wednesday night at the Texas Medal for the Arts Awards with other LISD students. We are so appreciative of the extra time committed to make this event so successful. Our percussion bash last night went exceptionally well. Bravo to our percussionists and Mr. Hobbs and his team for coordinating this with our cluster schools.
Thank you to our students who have set up their mulch profiles and entered all their contacts. We have a goal of over $160,000 in mulch sales or donations, and we’re counting on each of our students to help us reach that target. Keep an eye out for emails from our fundraising chair, Adam Plummer, with more details on current funds raised and upcoming delivery dates. Mulch Madness ENDS on March 7, so please get your orders in and help spread the word!
Please see the Weekly Announcement Sheet for information about rehearsals for the upcoming week. Monday evening is Viper Night – all student leaders and drumline will attend/perform pep tunes. We invite everyone to see our Percussion Ensemble Concert on Tuesday evening, 3/4, at 7pm and our Chamber Concert on 3/7, at 6pm – both in the VHS auditorium.
Good luck to our students who are performing at Westlake High School tomorrow at UIL District Solo and Ensemble.
Enjoy your weekend, and we’ll see everyone on Monday. Go Vipers!
Mr. Lipman
