Good Evening, Viper Band and Vision Families!
Congratulations again to our TMEA All-State band members who performed last night at the clinic and concert in San Antonio. All of the ensembles gave incredible concerts, and we are so proud of our students who represented Vandegrift and Leander ISD with such professionalism. Thank you also to our band and Vision students who held down the fort while everyone was away the last few days — we received glowing reports from substitutes, parent volunteers, and student leaders.
Thank you to our students who have set up their mulch profiles and entered all their contacts. We have a goal of over $160,000 in mulch sales or donations, and we’re counting on each of our students to help us reach that target. Keep an eye out for emails from our fundraising chair, Adam Plummer, with more details on current funds raised and upcoming delivery dates.
Please see the Weekly Announcement Sheet for information about rehearsals for the upcoming week. More information about the final Hawaii itineraries will be released soon. On March 10, we’ll have a mandatory pre-departure meeting with all our students and chaperones traveling. Mark your calendars!
Finally, we still need a few more students to travel with us to Westlake High School tomorrow, 2/17, to perform with our basketball band, specifically trombones and alto saxophones. If you are available for the 7pm game tomorrow night, please email me.
Enjoy the remainder of the weekend, and we’ll see everyone on Tuesday.
Mr. Lipman
