Good Afternoon, Viper Band and Vision Families!

We look forward to celebrating the end-of-summer band tonight at Main Event North from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Our students have worked so hard the last few weeks, and tonight will be an enjoyable way to unwind and relax. Bravo to all for making great strides on our show and rehearsing professionally through the hot weather.

Next week, we will see another round of hot temperatures. Rest assured, we are working diligently through rehearsals to give students frequent water breaks. Yesterday was ten minutes on, five minutes off through most of the rehearsal, with a fifteen-minute interval towards the end. We continue to work with our BandAids (medical team) to plan accordingly, and our student leaders provide feedback on morale throughout the rehearsal. Students must wear appropriate athletic attire during after-school rehearsals and bring their water. Please remind all to eat lunch during the day — our band and Vision members all need nourishment to sustain them through practices. 

Finally, please read the Band Handbook/Policies and Protocols, and sign/return the signature page at the end to Google Classroom by Monday, 8-19.
