Happy Saturday, Viper Band and Vision Families!

After a thrilling game yesterday at the Alamodome, our Vipers have advanced to the fourth round of the playoffs, the UIL Division II Quarterfinals. We will take on the Harlan Hawks at Texas State University’s Bobcat Stadium on Friday evening, December 6, at 730pm. We need everyone out in full force on Friday to support the Vipers and cheer them on the road to state. 

This is also a big week for many of our band and Vision students preparing for auditions. Woodwind and brass students auditioning at TMEA Phase 2 on Saturday, 12/7, are excused from Friday’s game. The game remains optional for Front Ensemble and Vision members. All other WW, Brass, and Percussion students are required to attend Friday. We are aware we will have about 60 students who cannot attend due to TMEA Auditions on Saturday, and therefore, we will again invite alumni students and FPMS/CRMS students to attend this week with siblings in the band to fill out our numbers. Guests who wish to play with the band should fill out this form.

Please see the Weekly Announcement Sheet, which includes the schedule for Friday’s game and other events this week. We have some before-school rehearsals this week for our ensembles to prepare for the upcoming Holiday Concert.

Finally, our band and Vision toy drive supporting Dell Children's Medical Center is off to a great start. Please bring a new unwrapped toy and help us collect 150+ toys for charity.
