Uniform Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in helping out the Uniforms Area at Vandegrift High School Band.  It is a VERY rewarding and easy volunteer role with lots of different opportunities for people at their home or at the band hall with the students.  Most of these needs can be done afterwork, on the weekend, after a game or contest, before school starts and some after marching season.

SIGN UP FOR ONE OR BOTH TYPES OF UNIFORM VOLUNTEER NEEDS.

FITTINGS & REPAIR:  (we train/show you how – its easy, really easy)

• Fitting Uniforms & Tuxes & Dresses to Students  (Uniforms must be fitted by the time Photos are taken in late August / Tuxes & Dresses must be fitted before the end of November)
• Pressing Seams
• Cutting, Pinning, Spot Sewing – Elastic on Hems
• Repair Uniforms

CLEAN UNIFORMS, ORGANIZE & MORE:  (we train/show you how – its easy, really easy)

• Organize Uniform Closet
• Clean Uniforms  (Done as needed, usually no more than 2 times a year)
• Take & Pick Up Uniforms from Dry Cleaner  (Done 2 times a year)
• Label Hangers & Assign Misc Equipment to Students

You will be put on a Uniforms Group email uniformteam@vhsband.com that the Uniform Team uses so that those interested in helping in that area can be called upon when the need arises.  There are no set dates to help just the email is sent out as needed.
