Midwest Send Off Concert: The VHS Percussionists will be heading to Chicago to participate in the Midwest Clinic. Please help us celebrate them at the send off concert. We can use your help to provide refreshments after the event. Midwest Send Off
5A Area Marching Contest: VHS is teaming up with Glenn High School to run the UIL 5A Marching Competition at Gupton Stadium on October 28th. We need MANY volunteers to make this event a success. In the event that you cannot stay for the entire day, you may sign up for specific shifts.

VOLUNTEERS for FOOTBALL GAMES, EVENTS & CONTESTS: We need both Chaperones and Pit Vipers for every football game and contest, we only need Chaperones for events. Chaperones assist the students at all times escorting to and from the stadium, bathroom breaks,help with plumes for the hats/Shakos and more. Pit Vipers help get the band equipment on and off the field for performances and may also help load and unload the band trailer or box trucks. In order to volunteer for a contest, you must have volunteered for at least one football game. Football Games Events

HOSPITALITY: A team of dedicated parents ensure all band members, staff, chaperones and Pit Vipers are fed before each game / contest AND support other activities throughout the year. (Ex: Staff Appreciation Luncheon, March-A-Thon Event, etc…) Sign Up Here

UNIFORMS: We make sure the band looks its best during marching and concert season. All marching uniform elastics are installed and repaired by this team as well as hems in dresses and pants during concert season. Each uniform is pressed and or steamed prior to the start of each season. Sign Up Here
COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE DESSERT & VOLUNTEERS: Click the button below to help bring a dessert or help set up or clean up the treats being served after the community performance in the cafeteria at VHS. Community Performance Desserts
BAND AID: Band Aid is set up next to the marching field during summer band camp and school rehearsals to assist students who may experience issues during rehearsal such as: dehydration, nausea, and minor scrapes or bruises. You do not need to have a medical background to volunteer and the location provides a great vantage point to watch the show progress! Summer Band Aid School Band Aid
SPIRIT WEAR: Help sell VHS Band spirit wear, jewelry, hats, visors, bags during Football Games and at Registration in August and other times during the year. Duties also include setting up and tearing down the booster clubs booth at Football Games. Come be a smiling face helping spread the Viper spirit. Sign Up Here
MARCH-A-THON: Saturday, August 19, 2017 starting at 7:30am and ending around 12:30pm – the Vandegrift High School Marching Band will set out and march Steiner Ranch neighborhoods for 4+ hours, providing music and entertainment as well as providing customized lawn concerts for those who donate $150 or more to the Band & Vision Dance Company. FUNDRAISING: A group of parents who go out and help us find corporate sponsors and help at our Fundraising events. This is our second biggest need for parents, we hold many different fundraising events throughout the year and it takes many people to make the events happen. Items like helping find sponsors, to finding Silent Auction items, or help host a meeting house for Passbook Blitz. Check out the “Fundraising” page, over the course of the year we will have different fundraisers with different volunteer needs.
