Dear Viper parents & students,
We welcome our new Viper Band & Vision families, and welcome back our seasoned veterans! The sounds & sights of band camp are in the air!

This year’s March-a-Thon event is Saturday, August 18th, less than 3 weeks away! This event has become a fun annual tradition for the band which combines a parade and concert stops around the Steiner Ranch neighborhood with a major fundraiser in which the students solicit pledges to support the band program. We will build upon the tremendous results of our students last year and continue utilizing a powerful online pledge platform. The attached 2018 March-a-Thon Pledge Packet has all the details for the event and fundraiser. Please take time to carefully review the packet as it has lots of information for both parents and students.

NEW for 2018 – Class Concerts! The band will pay tribute to the freshman, sophomore, junior & senior Band & Vision classes in a series of concert stops at John Simpson Park during March-a-Thon. If your family is not on the marching route for a private concert, you can still sponsor your student(s) during their class concert. More details are in the pledge packet, and we will alert you when the band website is ready for concert sponsorship.
NEW for 2018 – Community Concert! The band will play a short concert at Westridge Park on the March-a-Thon route for the Steiner Ranch community. This concert is particularly suited for younger families to give their children a chance to experience live music & dance (and who are up beforenoon on a Saturday!). The time is still to be determined, but will be in the range of 9am10am.
If you have any questions, please email or reply to this email.
