Viper Band Family,
Along with this week’s upcoming summer band rehearsals, Viper Round Up will also be taking place with the VHS Counseling Department. Viper Round up is an opportunity for your student to get books, laptops, etc. and to take care of scheduling conflicts. Please note that scheduling conflicts for 9th grade students will be from 5pm-7pm on Tuesday, August 8. Scheduling conflicts for other grades can be done during their assigned Viper Round Up Time. At Viper Round Up, counselors will only be handling schedule conflicts, not schedule change requests. More information on schedule change requests can be found at http://classroom.
Viper Round Up Times for band students will be as follows:
All Band Freshmen – 2 pm-3 pm, Tuesday, August 8
All Band Sophomores – 2 pm-3 pm, Wednesday, August 9
All Band Juniors – 1 pm-2 pm, Thursday, August 10
All Band Seniors – 2 pm-3 pm, Thursday, August 10
If this is the first you’ve heard of Viper Round Up, please see the information below from the counseling department:
“We appreciate your patience as the counselors continue to prepare for the first day of the 2017-2018 school year.
Students should be receiving their TENTATIVE schedules in the mail this weekend. Once you have received it, we encourage both parents and students to take a picture of the schedule.
You must bring the tentative schedule (or picture of) to Viper Round Up in order to get your books.
Please note: Schedules should reflect any changes that were made online through July 27th. Due to the process time for district mail-outs, we had to push back when we printed tentative schedules. With that being said, if you submitted a schedule change request online after July 27th, it will not be reflected on the tentative schedule that you receive in the mail. Counselors are diligently working to update these requests as they filter in and respond via email if the request has been updated, is pending, or cannot be made. Again, we appreciate your patience as well are also enrolling new students at this time.
*If you did not receive your schedule and have moved recently, you will need to come up to view your schedule during one of the Viper Round Up schedule conflict sessions listed below. Also, please send your student’s name and the details of what residency information you’d like changed along with proof of residency to the Maureen Sanders at Maureen.sanders@leanderisd.
org. Proof of residency is a signed lease or current utility bill. All financial information can be blocked out leaving the date, address and parent/guardian name. Please be sure to attach proof of residency, as the update cannot be made without it.
**Schedules will not be sent via email except for new students enrolling.
IF there is a conflict in your tentative schedule (ex: missing a period, “see counselor”, two 5th periods, etc.), please plan to visit with your counselor in the cafeteria during one of the following Viper Round Up schedule conflict sessions.
Please note that these are for schedule conflicts only; for all other requests, please submit through the VHS Schedule Change Form link above.
- Tuesday, Aug 8th– Viper Round-Up for Freshman. Counselors will address schedule conflicts from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. (Book/laptop pick up is during the day, schedule conflict session is from 5-7p.m. only.)”
