The Vandegrift Band is a student-led organization supported by the Vandegrift HIgh School Band Booster Club. Because your child is in band you ARE a member of the VHS Band Booster Club. It takes the untiring support from our Booster Club Parents, YOU, for the band to attain its highest potential. YOU are a big part of their success! How can you help?
LISD Volunteer Registration/Renewal is required EVERY YEAR before you can volunteer. Click Here to start.
After you have registered or renewed your LISD volunteer form please review the volunteer areas below and sign up.
Don’t hit your “<” Back Button after signing up – it removes you from the slot you just signed up.
Volunteer slots for the 2019-2020 season will open July 31st. For now, please volunteer for Band Aid and other summer activities below. Thank you!
BAND AID: Band Aid is set up next to the practice marching field during summer band camp and school rehearsals to assist students who may experience issues during rehearsal such as: dehydration, nausea, and minor scrapes or bruises. You do not need to have a medical background to volunteer but starting in the 2019-2020 school year, one of the Band Aid volunteers on each sign-up date must have completed LISD’s medical training class (more trainings will be held soon). As a bonus for volunteering, the Band Aid location provides a great vantage point to watch the show progress! School Band Aid
VOLUNTEERS for FOOTBALL GAMES, EVENTS & CONTESTS: We need both Chaperones and Pit Vipers for every football game and contest, we only need Chaperones for events. Chaperones assist the students at all times escorting to and from the stadium, bathroom breaks, help with plumes for the hats/Shakos and more. Pit Vipers help get the band equipment on and off the field for performances and may also help load and unload the band trailer or box trucks. In order to volunteer for a contest, you must have volunteered for at least one football game. Football Games
