Teacher Appreciation Breakfast

Thank you for signing up to help show our appreciation of all of our teachers at Vandegrift High School!! We need LOTS of DONATIONS & VOLUNTEERS for this event!

Step 1) Below please choose from long list of items needed and sign up to bring an item. All donated items need to be delivered to the VHS Cafeteria between 6:30am-7:30am on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Please bring food items in disposable containers. If your container needs to be returned, please mark your name on it. All containers with names will be put in the band hall kitchen for your student to pick up.

Step 2) If you can also donate time at the cafeteria to help to set up, serve, and clean up, please sign up for those volunteer positions below.

Welcome to the Band Department of Vandegrift High School

The Instrumental Music Department at Vandegrift High School enrolls over 300 students from the 9th through 12th grades who study with a dedicated teaching faculty as well as private lesson instructors.

Our Philosophy of Education

Music is a fundamental piece of the human experience. Music Education is therefore a necessary endeavor to ensure that the whole child is being educated. This includes skill development, cognitive understanding, and aesthetic appreciation for many forms of music.

The primary objective of the Vandegrift High School Instrumental Music Department is to develop the performance, rehearsal, and personal practice skills of each student. The vision for the program is to “Define the Standard” in all we do.
